SOT, Saugus High School student: "I was coming into school and I just see just kids running and running with fear and absolute just fear and just unknown on their faces. I just see mobs and mobs of kids as I come in to school."

SOT, Saugus High School student: "I woke up like any other day, typical Thursday, went to school my first period, two minutes later the first shot went off. Everybody thought it was a milk carton exploding, so we obviously giggled at each other, second and third shot go off, teacher ran toward the door, closed it, locked it."

SOT, Saugus High School student: "We had to wait about two hours for us to get evacuated and walking out all you see was blood on the ground. Then we went to the buses, went to central park, the police questioned everybody and when everybody went with their parents, it was just a relief that they were safe."

SOT, Saugus High School student: "I think because seeing people that don't even go to Saugus or barely even know these people, they are getting flowers right behind us. It's just nice to see that everyone's caring and just giving prayers to them."

SOT, Saugus High School student: "So there is like a slight difference. Just because other shootings, no matter how many people die there, death is still death. If there were like forty people that died in a school shooting compared to two, it still hits you hard. There is a tonne of people that die."

SOT, Saugus High School student: "I've done these drills for, like, I don't know, years and I've done it maybe like seven times, a total of like once per year. We would do these active shooter drills and they would put us in situations to get us to know what to do."

People paid tribute to the victims of Thursday's shooting at Saugus High School in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita, on Saturday.
Many were seen laying flowers and teddy bears at a makeshift memorial near the school, where a 16-year old teenager opened fire killing two fellow students and injuring others before fatally shooting himself in the head.
Students recalled the chaotic scenes of the attack and the moments when they were evacuated from the building. Some explained how they carried out an active shooter drill that many US schools recently implemented.
Local authorities confirmed it was a planned attack, but the shooter's motive remains unclear.
