Over 50 foreign militiamen, enlisted to take part in the so-called 'Anti-Terror Operation' (ATO) against anti-Kiev forces in eastern Ukraine, gathered outside Kiev's Presidential Administration Building, Saturday, demanding citizenship in return for their war efforts. Carrying Ukrainian flags, the group were joined by Right Sector Press Secretary Artem Skoropadsky and Commander of the Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists battalion, who both called for the government to honour the foreign fighters. The militiamen are reportedly yet to receive papers for their work in Donbass, dubbed by Kiev media and the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) as the ATO Zone. The foreign fighters calls come as tensions are reportedly easing between miltiamen of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR/DNR) alongside Lugansk People's Republic (LPR/LNR) militas and Kiev forces. LPR fighters have kicked-started the creation of a 30 kilometre (18 miles) buffer zone between the Ukrainian troops attacking Donbass and the militia forces in line with Minsk agreements. The withdrawal started in the north of the LPR territory and will continue down to the south of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR/DNR). The process of withdrawal is expected to take a total of 41 days.
