Hundreds took part in a pro-Palestine protest in front of the US embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Friday. Protesters condemned the "illegal" policies of Israel and the US administrations "blind support and endorsement of the terrorist Israeli actions." One group of protesters burned a picture of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the rally. Many protesters expressed anger at the recent attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem by Israeli security forces. The protesters attempted to submit a memorandum to the embassy urging the US government to condemn the the repeated attacks on Al-Aqsa. The demonstration included members of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition, the opposition and NGOs. A large police presence was on hand at the rally and no incidents were reported.
