Flower lovers flocked to the Munich Botanical Garden on Thursday to catch a glimpse of one of the world's largest, smelliest flower, the Titan Arum, in bloom.
Known as the 'corpse flower', the Titan Arum will only bloom for up to 48 hours, during which time it produces an odour similar to that of rotting flesh.
The flower, scientifically named Amorphophallus Titanum, has attracted dozens of followers since it began to bloom on Thursday leading the Munich Botanical Garden to extend its opening hours to let as many people see the rare sight while it lasts.
Scientifically named Amorphophallus Titanum, the Titan Arum originates from the rainforest in western Sumatra in Indonesia.
