Russia: Lavrov meets Steinmeier in Moscow to discuss Syria, refugee crisis

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Moscow, Wednesday, to discuss the situation in Syria, the implementation of the Minsk agreements in Ukraine, as well as the current refugee crisis in Europe and economic ties between Germany and Russia.
Before the meeting, Steinmeier congratulated Lavrov on his recent birthday and wished him "health and all the best for the upcoming year."
Both ministers are expected to hold a joint press conference after the meeting.
Steinmeier will also meet with Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev during his visit. Economic and investment issues are expected to be on the agenda of the meeting.
