One of Russia's strongest men, the athlete Elbrus Nigmatullin, held an open training session for Russian soldiers in Chebarkul, Chelyabinsk Region, on Sunday.
The participants carried crawler platforms, moved caterpillar tracks and took part in the tug of war. They also arm-wrestled one another and ran with heavy boxes.
Elbrus Nigmatullin, who usually trains civilians, decided to work with young soldiers in order “to expand my capabilities,” he said.
Nigmatullin is an impressive power-lifter and arm-wrestler, and is a four-time winner of the tournament 'Russia's Strongest Man.' A competitor in several editions of the 'World's Strongest Man,' he has set several records listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
