Syrian Troops Regain Part of Northeastern City From ISIS

State tv reported Syrian government forces retook a neighborhood from Islamic State fighters in a northeastern city on Tuesday, days after it was captured by the extremists.
The IS group attacked several government-held southern neighborhoods of the city of Hassakeh last week. Turkey-based opposition figure Mustafa Osso said IS captured three predominantly Arab neighborhoods in the city. Meanwhile ,the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that IS fighters beheaded two women they accused of practicing sorcery In the eastern province of Deir el-Zour.
