Belarus: OSCE's Sajdik notes 'increased' ceasefire violations in Donetsk

Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine, Martin Sajdik, spoke to the press in Minsk, Wednesday, after a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine and its working subgroups had finished.
Progress in demining in 12 priority areas has been noted, but work remains to be done Sajdik said. Sajdik added that OSCE representatives have also noticed "an increased number of ceasefire violations starting from January, especially in Avdeevka and Yasynuvata in the Donetsk region."
"In order to prevent further escalation and eliminate violations, I call on all sides to demonstrate restraint and follow the ceasefire agreement," he added.
Moreover, Sajdik confirmed that members of the OSCE subgroup will continue working on a 'roadmap' on the release and handover of persons detained during the conflict.
