Pedestrians were seen walking about Venice's St. Mark's Square on platforms as the picturesque city braced for more high levels of flooding on Sunday.
The square can be seen completely awash with high levels of water, with security forces standing in knee-high levels of water.
The tidal peak is expected to reach a high 160 cm (62.9 inches) on Sunday.
Winter flooding, dubbed "acqua alta" in Venice, meaning "high water", reached 187cm (73 inches) on Tuesday, the highest level since the record of 194 cm set in 1966.
