"Over the past day 67 sorties were launched from Hmeymim Air Base. The crews of Su-34s, Su-24Ms, and Su-25SMs jets successfully hit 60 terrorist targets in Syria," he said. Makushev went on to detail the "terrorist targets" successfully hit by Russian fighter jets. "As a result of our strikes six control centres and communications hubs, six ammunition dumps and fuel depots, 17 camps and terrorist training bases, three underground terrorist facilities in the province of Latakia, 16 fortified areas and defensive positions containing weapons and military equipment, 11 areas for the repair of armoured vehicles, 17 units of automobile and armoured vehicles, and two MRLS [Multiple Rocket Launcher System] units have been destroyed," the Lieutenant General stated. Makushev also noted that a "direct hit from a KAB 500-C bomb destroyed the headquarters of the terrorist group Liwa al-Haqq," adding that "as a result of the strike two high-ranking ISIS commanders and about 200 terrorists were killed."
