Iraq: Army soldiers continue push on Mosul *GRAPHIC*

Iraqi Army troops continued their bloody battle with the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) in the north of Iraq in the village of Qayyarah near Mosul on Thursday.
The soldiers faced off with IS militants embedded in villages on the outskirts of the city, Iraq's second largest, which fell to the group in June 2014. During that battle Iraqi Army soldiers deserted en masse, which dealt a blow to the anti-ISIS offensive.
