India: Dazzling torch-lit parade and stunt show see off Dasara in style

Around 100 Special Forces personnel entertained crowds with motorcycle stunts and acrobatics following a torch-lit parade at the Mysore Dasara festival in India's southern state of Karnataka, Friday night and into the early hours of Saturday. During the torch-lit parade participants formed the words 'Happy Dasara 405' in the dark to welcome the Maharaja of Mysore, Yaduveera Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, who made his entry on horseback. The motorbike show impressed the audience with the acrobatics performed with the highlight arguably seeing a group of at least nine members of the Special Forces team on one motorbike. At the end of the show a military band played the national anthem of the State of Mysore.
