Не така, брат!
A volunteer dressed as a tiger took a ride on Moscow’s ‘striped express’ train on Thursday, to promote the Russian governments drive to raise awareness about the conservation of nation's rare species. The Tiger impersonator, Vladimir Sergeev, said the reason behind the stunt was “to attract public attention to the extermination of the Amur tiger." The ‘striped express’ also features an interior covered in pictures of tigers, leopards and natural scenes as part of the government-led programme. The Amur tiger, also known as the Siberian tiger, is found mainly on the Sikhote Alin mountain region. The species is listed as endangered. There has been an increase in numbers in recent years, from around 350 in 2005 to up to 500 Amur tiger’s in the wild today.
