SOT, Crystal Dunn, USA Women's Football Team player: "This so far has been such an entertaining World Cup and I am seeing so much more diversity. That's really all I hope for. Year in and year out, I think it's always progressing in the right direction and, you know, especially being a woman of colour I always root so much for the black girls that are doing well. I am always rooting just for so much diversity in the sport to continue to grow. And I've been seeing it so, so I am quite happy with that".

SOT, Crystal Dunn, USA Women's Football Team player: "You know, I know Emma Hayes [Chelsea Women manager] really well. I played under her in Chelsea, obviously. You know those are obviously her opinions and I personally don't agree with it. You guys have all seen the Chilean goalkeeper do some incredible things against us. She had an amazing game. For anyone who think that our goal should be smaller or the field should be smaller, I personally don't agree. I think women do some incredible things in this game and I am always pushing for us to be at our best, whether you are American or not. I actually want this game to grow so much in all regards. So for a goalkeeper to be able to compete at that level and save as many saves she can against us, I think it's incredible. And it's just a testament that the goals are exactly the size that they need to be, the pitches size are the size they need to be. So, that's my opinion."

SOT, Abby Dahlkemper, USA Women's Football Team player: "Everyone, the rest of 22 of us, and even the coaching staff, we are almost brought to tears because we are so happy for her [Jessica McDonald]. You know her story is so amazing. She has a kid who is 7 years old and for her to be a mum and be a such good teammate and be such an incredible player just speaks volumes. The type of person she is and the character she has...She is a teammate that you want on your team, for sure. And she is so supportive, she is a great player as well. I think she played well and we were really disappointed when she wasn't able to get that one shot in, but it was really close. She is in great form as is everyone else, so that was really like something so special to be able to be on the field and see that."

Crystal Dunn, forward for the United States women's national football team, said that "The goals are exactly the size they need to be, the pitches size are the size they need to be," while speaking at a press conference ahead of her team' last group stage clash against Sweden, in Le Havre, Tuesday.
The player's comments came as a response to a recent proposal by Chelsea women's football club manager Emma Hayes that the goals and the pitches could be made smaller for women.
Dunn also stated that she's "seeing so much more diversity" at this year's tournament.
"That's really all I hope for. Year in and year out, I think it's always progressing in the right direction and, you know, especially being a woman of colour I always root so much for the black girls that are doing well. I am always rooting just for so much diversity in the sport to continue to grow", she added.
