Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara cast their ballots in the general election in Jerusalem on Tuesday.
Footage shows Netanyahu arriving at the polling station and casting his vote alongside his wife before briefly addressing the press saying the elections are very close and calling on all citizens to vote.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who failed to form a coalition government after the first election, is now trying to win a record fifth term and has as main competitor former military chief of staff Benny Gantz.
Netanyahu pledged to annex the Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea in case he wins the election. This move drew sharp criticism amongst the Arabic community since the area constitutes more than 30 percent of the West Bank and has approximately 65,000 Palestinians and 11,000 Israeli settlers as its inhabitants.
