Морски лъв, решил да се разходи из Окланд, е заловен и пуснат отново в естествената си среда

Emergency services caught a sea lion, believed to be a New Zealand sea lion, on the loose in South Auckland, Monday, after the animal spent several hours taking in the city's sights. Spotted in a driveway in the Auckland suburb of Papakura, the pinniped was herded towards a nearby estuary by police and firefighters, before it swam away. Staff from the Department of Conservation (DOC) continue to monitor the animal. There are thought to be less than 10,000 New Zealand sea lions left in the wild and the species has a conservation status of 'vulnerable'.
