Cuba: Castro welcomes Kazakh President Nazarbayev with military honours

Cuban President Raul Castro welcomed his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev to Havana with full military honours at the Palace of the Revolution, Saturday.
Nazarbayev arrived in Havana earlier in the day on his first official visit to Cuba. The Kazakh leader met with Castro to discuss strengthening bilateral ties between both countries.
Nazarbayev also paid his respects to the Cuban independence hero Jose Marti, attending a ceremony with Cuban Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra Diaz on Havana's Plaza de la Revolucion. During the ceremony, the Kazakh leader placed a wreath at a memorial dedicated to Marti.
