Spain: Pedro Sanchez supporters harass his PSOE opponents ahead of key vote

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Socialist Party's (PSOE) headquarters in Madrid, Saturday, in solidarity with the embattled leader of the party Pedro Sanchez. Protesters harangued the PSOE's leaders as they entered the building to take part in a federal committee meeting in which Sanchez' future is expected to be decided.
Sanchez sparked opposition in his party over his continued refusal to abstain on confidence votes called by acting Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy. Sanchez' continued directive for his party to vote against a Rajoy-led coalition government could push the country into a third election, which may take place in December, since it deprives Rajoy of the necessary voting majority in parliament to form a government.
