A market in Al-Hazm lay in ashes Tuesday, after Saudi-led airstrikes hit the Houthi-controlled capital of the Jawf Governate, killing at least four civilians. Houthi fighters and military forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh seized the northwestern city on the border with Saudi Arabia on Sunday. In response the Saudi-led coalition launched airstrikes that continued on Monday, hitting civilian areas and killing dozens. According to the United Nations, over 2,000 people have been killed and more than half a million displaced since the Saudi-led airstrikes began in Yemen on March 26. The Saudi-led coalition includes eight other Arab states and is receiving logistical support from the United States, Britain and France.
