Ukraine: Protesters rally against opening of refugee shelter in Yagotin

Anti-refugee protesters rallied against the opening of a refugee shelter in Yagotin, Friday.
The civil wing of Azov Battalion and Right Sector representatives joined the public hearing. Natalia Gus, deputy of the local council addressed the protesters saying, "we do not have such an opportunity to invite foreigners to learn their Arabic language, someone said that we will learn English? You and I will have to learn Arabic to be able to sell a loaf of bread in the store."
In an attempt to convince the crowd into accepting the Syrian refugees, Director of the Department of foreigners and stateless persons of State Migration Service of Ukraine Natalia Naumenko told the protesters, "only in 2015, 20 million Ukrainians asked for protection in Europe and Europe has not said 'sorry Ukraine we have a lot of our own migration problems, so please go back to your country,'" but protesters booed her, and when she got in he vehicle to leave the rally, someone threw eggs at it.
The planned refugee shelter is supposed to house around 250 Syrian refugees.
