"Музикалната формация "Levon Manukyan Collegium Musicum" е естествено продължение на Младежка филхармония „Бургас", чийто ръководител от 2001 г. е диригентът Левон Манукян. Възпитаниците на Националното училище за музикални и сценични изкуства „Проф.
Панчо Владигеров" - Бургас за 10 години развиват изключително активна и високохудожествена дейност. Творческата биография на оркестъра включва над 300 изяви в страната и чужбина (включително концерти, посветени на Европа), турнета по покана на българските посолства във Виена, Братислава и различни градове на Германия, записи в Националното радио и ТВ, запис на диск с българска музика, озвучаване на българския филм „Номер едно" за БНТ, активно присъствие в културния живот на Бургас и България. През 2010 г. "Levon Manukyan Collegium Musicum" е поканен да съпровожда на на Коледния концерт на Стефан Диомов и партнира на Орлин Горанов, Ваня Костова, Тони Димитрова, Марияна Попова и др. ( излъчен по бТВ). От 27 март до 9 април 2011 г. „Levon Manukyan Collegium Musicum" участва в реализацията на мюзикъла „Мулен руж" съвместно със студенти от Американския университет (Благоевград), представен на най-големите сцени в София, Пловдив, Бургас, Варна, Стара Загора и Благоевград." На 25 април оркестъра реализира концерт в Бургас с "Музиката на Митко Щерев", в който взеха участие Митко Щерев, Илия Ангелов и Гали Ичеренска.

Founded in 2001, Levon Manukyan Collegium Musicum (formerly Bourgas Youth Philharmonic) is one of the most recognizable up-and-coming private orchestras in Europe. The high artistic goals include performing a diverse repertoire, building and educating new audiences for orchestral music and supporting the careers of young musicians.

The orchestra is one of the partners in the organization of one of the biggest Bulgarian national pop song competitions, “Bourgas and the Sea”, it has recorded film music for the national television and is frequently invited to perform at official functions not only by Municipality Bourgas, but also in other cities at functions such as city celebrations, festival openings, etc. The orchestra and its conductor emphasize the performance of Bulgarian music. They have recorded for the Bulgarian National Radio and have released a CD with works by Bulgarian composers.



Levon Manukyan Collegium Musicum presents symphonic music at prestigious concerts, including events initiated by the European Union and the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria and broadcasted live online. The orchestra performs concerts not only in Bulgaria, but also in Greece, Germany, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary.

Levon Manukyan Collegium Musicum has won a number of international awards: Special ****** at the International competition “The world in music” (Dobrich, 2004) – a ****** invented specifically for the orchestra (sic!), first ****** at the International festival-competition “Hopes, talents, masters” (Dobrich-Albena, 2004) and first ****** at the International competition “Happiness on the shore” (Bourgas, 2009).

Levon Manukyan Collegium Musicum realizes ambitious projects in different styles and genres, including rock and metal. In August 2011 the orchestra produced with great success the first metal-b******t in the world, “Déjà vu”.

The orchestra develops different educational initiatives. Over 200 students aged 12 to 19 have participated in the orchestra’s concerts in addition to the current permanent members. In 2005Levon Manukyan Collegium Musicum, conducted by Levon Manukyan, participated at the International course in orchestral performance in Hagen city (Germany).

Organizing the first International professional summer program for young composers – Bourgas 2013, counts among the latest initiatives of Levon Manukyan Collegium Musicum.
