Former US Vice President of the United States Joe Biden hit out at plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on the steps of Capitol Hill in Washington DC, Wednesday, one day ahead of the seven year anniversary of Obamacare.
Obamacare, according to Biden, "was about peace of mind" for Americans, and for citizens to "finally be able to lie there and know that, God forbid something happens, like it has happened to an awful lot of us, that I am not going to lose my house, I am not going to loose everything."
Biden was accompanied by a group of House Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
Congress is set to vote on a new health care bill, the American Health Care Act (AHCA), proposed by Republicans as a replacement to Obamacare.
