SOT, Migrant from Honduras (Spanish): "Because they don't allow us to cross here"
SOT, Journalist (Spanish):"And you are tired?"
SOT, Migrant from Honduras (Spanish): "Yes, we are tired of walking. The issue is that we don't get permission, we're going back."
Remaining members of the thousands-strong migrant caravan headed for the United States were seen stuck at the Guatemala-Mexico border in Tecun Uman on Saturday.
Some of the migrants built an improvised camp on the bridge connecting Guatemala and Mexico, while others lowered themselves from the bridge to the Suchiate River, trying to get across to the Mexican side on makeshift rafts. Another group of migrants decided to accept the offer of the Guatemalan government to be returned home, and were seen entering official buses.
The migrant caravan, mostly from Honduras, arrived on Mexico's southern border on Friday, fleeing poverty and violence.
According to reports, Mexico opened its border on Saturday to women and children from the caravan.
