Hundreds of McDonald's employees rallied outside the fast food chain's HQ, where an annual shareholder meeting was taking place in Chicago, Thursday.
Protecters called for greater worker's rights and an improvement in working conditions.
The protesters were joined by 'Black Lives Matter' activists who marched on the meeting which was protected by a staunch police line. Protesters held placards reading "Mc Jobs cost US all" and denounced the minimum wage of $15 (€13.45) an hour which workers currently receive.
