The Ghosts of AIM Past

It's scary to imagine those frightening times of horrifically slow internet, as well as using just one messenger service for everything.
But AIM was far more than just a place to chat; it was a social network ahead of its time, before the likes of MySpace and Facebook.
Of course, plenty of other chat programs existed, but AIM was free, as well as easy to download and set up. More importantly, you could customize your profile and away message with rich text and links and create or download custom GIFs as your Buddy Icon.
But you can still log in to your old account through AIM.com. Here's to you AIM--and all old technology which as was amazing then as they are now.
