15.08.2018
Protesters, including members of the Citizens of Poland anti-fascist group, were removed from the streets of Warsaw as they tried to hamper the far-right march on Wednesday.
Police dragged away those who took part in an anti-fascist protest as its participants did not reportedly have a formal permission from authorities to demonstrate.
Far-right protesters in turn, including members of the National Rebirth of Poland group, were protected by police while marching through the streets holding Polish and nationalist flags.
Nationalist groups linked their march to Poland's Armed Forces Day which commemorates the anniversary of the Polish victory over Bolshevik forces in the 1920 Battle of Warsaw.
