Police officers armed with machine guns patrolled Wembley in London, Tuesday, ahead of England's international football friendly with France. Police dogs were also present at the site to search for explosives as part of high security protocol after a football game between Germany and France was targeted during a series of terror attacks in Paris on Friday. Fans of both England and France attended in solidarity with the victims of the attacks. Earlier today, the football match between Germany and Netherlands was cancelled after a suspicious suitcase was found abandoned at the stadium. According to police, there is a good chance of an explosive device within the suitcase. At least 132 people were killed and more than 349 left injured 99 critically, after a series of coordinated attacks were carried out at six different locations across Paris on Friday evening. At least 87 of those victims were killed after gunmen opened fire during a concert at the Bataclan theatre, taking dozens hostage before detonating suicide bombs. Dozens more were killed in attacks at the French national stadium and a string of popular bars and restaurants. The, so-called, Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack.
