A mass brawl broke out between hundreds of migrants at a makeshift refugee camp under the Stalingrad metro station in Paris, Sunday night, leaving several people injured. The station was closed and a high security presence was deployed to the site.
The video filmed by a local from the building opposite the refugee camp shows hundreds of migrants clashing with each other with metal poles and wooden planks. The brawl erupted around 9pm (11pm GMT) after police arrested a man for being drunk, local media report.
French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve announced the removal of the camp on March 30 but since then people continued to come back with makeshift mattresses. The evacuation of refugees started early in the morning on Monday and around 500 refugees have already been moved into emergency shelters.
