Democratic presidential candidate and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders held a rally in the Republican stronghold of Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday, to gather support for his campaign for the White House.
Speaking to over 7,000 supporters at the Phoenix Convention Center, Sanders spoke about securing jobs for young people, saying "[We will] put a trillion dollars into building our infrastructure and when we do that we create 13 million decent paying jobs."
The Vermont Senator went on to slam the Walton family, the owners of Walmart, saying "the wealthiest family in America. Get off of welfare, pay your workers a living wage," adding that if they "want us to buy your products, start manufacturing those products here in America not in China."
Sanders lost to Clinton in all five states in the second Super Tuesday primaries. In Florida he lost to Clinton by 33 percent, North Carolina by 41 percent, Ohio by 43 percent, Illinois by two percent and Missouri by just 0.2 percent.
