SOT, Zuzana Caputova, President-elect of Slovakia (Slovak): "I hope that the voter turnout will be higher this time, that we will not be at the end [one of the countries of with the lowest turnout in the EU] - Slovakia usually has very low attendance in EU votes. According to my opinion, the campaign before the elections was very intensive, in the media and also in social media, so I believe we will not have the lowest voter turnout."

SOT, Zuzana Caputova, President-elect of Slovakia (Slovak): "I don't know. It's new and very strong element in this elections, it's element which started to cooperated across the countries so I am also curious about the result of this elections. What I consider for very important is people to go vote. No matter the opinion they have, they express themselves. It is very important. We have this chance just rarely, to show our opinion, to influence the political process, through elections. That's why it is important for people to vote."

Slovakian President-elect Zuzana Caputova cast her vote in the European Parliament elections, in Pezinok, southwestern Slovakia, on Saturday.
Caputova, who is due to be inaugurated the country's president on June 15, said she hopes that the turnout in Slovakia will be higher than in the past. Slovakia has had the EU's lowest turnouts in all three EP elections since it joined the bloc in 2004. The last time it was only 13 percent.
"The campaign before the elections was very intensive, in the media and also in social media, so I believe we will not have the lowest voter turnout," commented Caputova.
The European parliamentary elections will see more than 512 million people from 28 member states elect a total of 751 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) between 23-26 May.
