06.10.2016
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban attended a Counter-Terrorism Centre's (TEK) exercise at the Ferenc Puskas Stadium metro station in Budapest, Thursday.
Orban spoke to media and the TEK forces at the conclusion of the drills, saying Hungary's ability to counter terrorism should be as good as the US' or Germany's. The Hungarian leader then stressed you have to train for years to be ready for something that can happen in seconds.
The exercise comprised of a simulated attack where civilians were taken hostage. Police practised approaching and taking down attackers, as well as evacuating civilians from the station.
