A second large morgue set up for victims of the coronavirus in the circular building of the City of Justice in Valdebebas, Madrid, is now ready to receive the first bodies.
Footage recorded on Monday shows construction workers, agents of the Municipal Police of Madrid and soldiers from the Military Emergency Unit (UME) carrying out the final preparations.
According to reports, the circular building known as the "Donut" has been equipped with 230 refrigerated cells on three floors. The transport of the deceased will be carried out by the UME and the Fire Department of the Community of Madrid.
Last Tuesday, Palacio de Hielo (Ice Palace) of the Capital was prepared to receive the bodies of the victims of the COVID-19.
The number of deaths from coronavirus in Madrid increased on Monday to 3,392, bringing the total number of victims in Spain to 7,340, making Spain the third most affected country by the pandemic.
