SOT, protester (Arabic): "For politicians, our demands are understandable. Even children in the cradle have understood [them]. It is a voluntary, self-imposed or compulsory dismissal of the government. The government must be removed in this period, so that people can know their way and have real wealth."

SOT, protester (Arabic): "So far, we have seen the government's procrastination [and] the government's lack of seriousness in meeting our demands. We, peaceful demonstrators and university students in Baghdad and all provinces, declare that demonstrations will continue until the legitimate demands are met."

Thousands of people rallied at Tahrir Square in Baghdad on Friday, as part of the ongoing protests against the government.
One protester condemned what he called the 'government's lack of seriousness in meeting our demands' saying that protests would continue 'until the legitimate demands are met.'
Three people were reportedly killed and at least 27 injured in Friday's clashes after the Iraqi security forces opened fire on demonstrators near the heavily-fortified Green Zone.
