Former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva spoke at a campaign rally for mayoral candidate Carina Vitral in Santos, Thursday.
Commenting on the legacy of the Workers Party (PT), Lula stated that "Never in the history of a country, has a president invested 41 billion Reals in science and technology for the people," adding that "for you to boost education for poor people in this country, you don't have to own a PHD diploma, you need to have class commitment, you need to have feelings, you need to have a heart and know where are you coming from."
The former Brazilian President also sent to a message to current right wing Argentinian President Mario Macri, advising him to "watch 'Modern Times' by Charlie Chaplin before taking office to realise that you cannot allow the domination machine to rule."
