Russia’s volume of arms exports and military equipment has reached the level of almost five billion dollars, said President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, Friday.
Speaking at a meeting of the Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation with Foreign States, Putin pointed out that exports of military equipment currently amount to "4.6 billion [Dollars] and the portfolio of orders surely exceeds 50 billion Dollars." Commenting on Russia's trade partners, Putin said that domestically produced weapons and military equipment are being deployed in Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East and Latin America.
Putin also highlighted that "it is important that the geography of deliveries is steadily expanding, new agreements are signed and bilateral working groups are created." He further added that Russia is investing in the development of advanced defence technologies.
