France: FM Ayrault gives update on missing EgyptAir flight MS804

French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault spoke to press outside the Mercure hotel at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, Thursday, updating journalists on the latest news regarding the EgyptAir passenger plane which went missing with 66 on board during its flight from Paris to Cairo early this morning.
According to Ayrault, the plane disappeared “20 minutes before landing" in Cairo and "hasn't sent any signal since." He went on to say that the French government are in touch with the Egyptian and Greek authorities and although there is much speculation over the planes fate "nothing has been confirmed."
EgyptAir Flight number MS804 was expected to arrive in Cairo by 3:15 (CEST) on Thursday after taking off from the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris at 11.09 (CEST). The plane was carrying 56 passengers and 10 crew on board, according to flight tracking services. The airline also said that the Airbus A320 lost contact 10 miles inside Egyptian airspace and was last registered at an altitude of 37,000ft. An investigation is underway and rescue teams have been dispatched, the company’s Twitter account states.
