Thousands of protesters continued to rally outside Hong Kong's Legislative Council on Monday, demanding the withdrawal of the currently suspended extradition bill, which would allow suspects to be sent to mainland China to face trial.
The protest comes despite Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam announcing an indefinite suspension of the extradition bill late last week.
On Sunday, hundreds of thousands of protests descended on Hong Kong's streets against the bill. According to the protest organisers, nearly two million people participated in the protest. Police said that the turnout was 338,000 at its peak.
