Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders held a rally at the Old National Events Plaza in Evansville, Indiana, on Thursday. At least 3,000 people were in attendance to support the Democratic presidential hopeful.
Discussing the Democratic presidential race, Sanders said “In the area where Hillary Clinton and I agree and that is it will be a tragedy for this country if we end up with a Donald Trump or some other Republican in the White House.”
“Every single poll in a battle ground state like Indiana, you know what those polls show they show that by far Bernie Sanders is the strongest candidate to defeat Donald Trump” he concluded.
With 2,383 delegates needed to win the nomination, the Democratic race is currently being led by Hillary Clinton, who has 2,176 delegates compared to Sanders' 1,367.
