Visual artist Brian Whiteley explained how his art piece, a tombstone for Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, got him into trouble with the US Secret Service, in New York on Saturday.
The tombstone was discovered in Central Park last spring, at first no one knew where it came from. However authorities soon found out that Whiteley was the culprit, they subsequently tracked him down and interrogated him, as they considered the tombstone to be a potential death threat. Once it became clear that the tombstone was a political art installation, the item was released back to the artist on the condition that he paid a $300(€266) fine for littering.
Whiteley says the tombstone, with the inscription 'Made America hate again' is an "an effort to get Donald Trump to visualise the legacy that he is leaving behind." The tombstone is currently displayed in an art gallery in Brooklyn.
