German newspapers found it difficult to understand Greece's historic 'No' vote in Sunday's referendum, footage filmed on Monday morning in Berlin shows. One newspaper wrote that 'Greeks celebrate their NO' while others published cynical headlines along the lines of 'No thanks, Europe' and 'The collapse dances Sirtaki.' Berliners on the streets also expressed skepticism at the decision to vote 'No,' with one person emphasising that the societal and economic problems are set to continue in the country. The referendum saw 61.3% of registered voters opting for 'No' on the bailout terms proposed by foreign creditors compared to the 38.7% who voted 'Yes.' The governing Syriza party campaigned for a 'No' in the referendum after rejecting the bailout terms of the so-called 'troika' - the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the European Central Bank (ECB) and the European Commission (EC).
