Ukrainian presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskiy addressed his supporters in Kiev on Sunday evening after exit polls suggested that he won the run-off round of the Ukrainian presidential election with 73 percent of the vote.
Commenting on the results, Zelenskiy thanked his family, his wife and his supporters. Addressing all former Soviet Union countries, he said: “look at us, anything is possible.”
According to national exit polls, actor-turned-politician Zelenskiy received 72.7 percent of the vote, with incumbent Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko coming second with 27.3 percent.
