Russian Economic Development Minister Alexey Ulyukayev and Austrian Federal Minister Reinhold Mitterlehner discussed cooperation between their two countries, in Vienna, on Wednesday.
The two minsters held a meeting to consider ways to promote economic ties between Russian and Austrian industries, within the environment of ongoing European restrictive measures and Russian counter measures.
Ulyukayev and Mitterlehner also discussed certain projects, including Nord Stream-2 and the recent decision by the European Commission to lift a cap of Gazprom's use of the OPAL pipeline, which provides a land link from the underwater Nord Stream pipeline to Germany and the Czech Republic. The pipeline allows Gazprom to reroute more of its gas supplies to Europe from Ukrainian transit.
Earlier on Wednesday Alexey Ulyukayev held a lecture at the Austrian Economic Chamber, where he discussed the current economic situation in Russia.
