UK: Boris Johnson pours praise on PM Cameron after resignation over Brexit

Former Mayor of London Boris Johnson spoke to the press in London, Friday, following British Prime Minister David Cameron’s announcement that he would step down from his position after the news that the UK had voted to leave the European Union.
On Friday morning the Electoral Commission reported that the Leave campaign had clinched a win, with some 52 percent of the electorate voting for Brexit from an estimated 72 percent voter turnout. London and Scotland polled predominantly for remain, but every English region outside the capital voted in a majority to leave the EU.
With the pound plummeting to its lowest value since 1985 following the results, the Bank of England has stated that 'all necessary steps' will be taken to maintain Britain's financial stability.
Shortly after the official results were announced British Prime Minister David Cameron stated that he would resign as the country’s leader before the autumn during an address from Downing Street after being an integral part of the remain campaign.
