With few protesters still holed up in Hong Kong's Polytechnic University (PolyU), the university was left littered with debris and waste on Friday after a week-long stand-off.
Footage shows the trashed university building, with protesters expressing themselves through graffiti and signs spelled out with their helmets. Aerial footage shows the closed-off area around the PolyU.
Hong Kong's police Chief Chris Tang called upon protesters to vacate the campus stating that there was no set deadline for the clearance of the university campus.
The city has had two relatively calm days and nights as the district council elections on Sunday 24 November are getting closer. The Chinese government has said it wants the elections to proceed and is monitoring the situation.
Hong Kong has been rocked by protests sparked by the now-withdrawn extradition bill since March. The rallies have since evolved into a wider movement against the government, marked by violent clashes between protesters and the authorities.
