Three crew members from Expedition 59 returned safely to earth in the early hours of Tuesday morning after leaving the International Space Station in the Soyuz space capsule.
Footage shows Oleg Kononenko of Roscosmos, Anne McClain of NASA, and David Saint-Jacques of the Canadian Space Agency, who all spent 204 days in space, separating the Soyuz without incident from the orbiting laboratory on Monday night and making a soft landing in Kazakhstan a little over 3 hours later.
This was McClain and Saint-Jacques first time in space, while Commander Kononenko has now accumulated 737 days in space over four missions, reaching sixth place on the space travellers list for cumulative time in orbit.
According to reports, astronauts Nick Hague and Christina Koch from NASA and Russia's Alexey Ovchinin remain aboard the space station and will reportedly be joined by three other astronauts on July 20.
