Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said that he was "disturbed but not surprised" after Secretary Clinton reportedly refused to debate him in California, speaking to thousands in Los Angeles at Santa Monica High School, Monday.
The Vermont Senator accused Clinton of "insulting to the people of California" and described her as being "too nervous" because "we are going to win here in California." Actress Rosario Dawson and Dick Van Dyke, well known for his chimney sweep role in Mary Poppins film, came out to endorse the Sanders, delivering speeches before the Vermont Senator came on stage.
Sanders currently has 1,533 Democratic delegates while Clinton counts 2,293, with 39 and 525 super delegates respectively. California's state primary elections are due to take place on June 7, with 546 delegates at stake.
