Huawei's Chief Financial Officer Meng Wanzhou appeared at British Columbia Supreme Court in Vancouver on Monday as her lawyers asked for additional disclosure in her case.
The defence team says Meng was unlawfully searched and questioned when she was detained at Vancouver's airport in December. She was arrested at the request of the United States where she was charged with fraud. Meng denies allegations and says she will fight against extradition.
Meanwhile, Canada' attorney general issued a statement on Monday saying there was no evidence that border officials acted improperly when arresting Meng.
The incident had further strained relations betweeen the US and China which are involved in a series of trade disputes.
