06.03.2018
Peru's Supreme Court concluded the hearings on an extradition request to the US against former president Alejandro Toledo, in Lima on Monday.
According to Supreme Court's judge Cesar San Marting, the decision on Toledo's extradition request to the US will be released on March 13.
Toledo is accused of collusion, money laundering and influence peddling.
The former Peruvian president is investigated for having allegedly received $20 millions (€16,183 millions) in bribes from Odebrecht to award the Brazilian firm the construction of a highway in the Amazon.
If the Peruvian Supreme Court approves the extradition request, Toledo, who is now believed to reside in the US, may be extradited back to Peru.
