Hundreds of protesters headed to Berlin's Brandenburg Gate on Monday, to show solidarity with Kurds against the ongoing Turkish military operation in north-eastern Syria.
Demonstrators were seen waving flags of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) for Rojava, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria with a high ethnic Kurdish population, while chanting "Erdogan, terrorist."
Signs reading "No eviction, no ethnic cleansing, we just want peace" and "No war on northern Syria" could also be seen.
Police forces were present during the rally.
Thousands of protesters have come out on the streets in recent days as part of global demonstrations held under the slogan 'Rise Up 4 Rojava'. The movement began after Turkey launched a military operation, dubbed 'Operation Peace Spring', on October 9 to create a 'safe zone' in Syria cleared of US-backed Kurdish groups.
