Self-styled ecologically conscious ‘Samurai’ patrolled the streets of Tokyo, Sunday, bringing law, order, and respect to the Japanese capital by picking up litter with prongs for Katana swords.
On discovering litter on the floor, the social group dubbed "Gomihiroi Samurai" or “Samurai who pick up litter” wielded their ‘swords’ in unison, crying "what lout would do such a thing?", before putting the litter in a receptacle.
The group patrol the streets from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time every Sunday in a bid to reduce rubbish and raise consciousness about the perils of littering.
